Carefully consider an appropriate temperature setting for your thermostat.
Often we set our thermostats and forget them. Not only can that be costly but it is also wasteful. Set summertime temperatures that are comfortable but that don’t force your system to run all day in the summer heat.
Early summer and late fall, in many climates, get cool enough at night to open the windows and cool the house down during the night hours. You might also consider installing a smart thermostat which can save energy.
